Mr. Ochoa selectively represents corporate founders, leading startups, and high net worth individuals. He has practiced law for 20 years. Mr. Ochoa served as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and as a state prosecutor in Maryland. He then joined the corporate litigation group in the D.C. office of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP. Subsequently, he joined Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer in New York City. At both firms, he specialized in corporate law and white collar litigation, representing high-profile business executives in complex financial litigation against the U.S. Department of Justice and SEC. Key matters and representations included senior executives of Madoff Securities, Amazon, Lehman Brothers, Enron, UBS, and Bristol-Myers Squibb,. Since leaving firm practice, Mr. Ochoa contributes his time to assisting and mentoring leading startups, ultimately helping those companies raise more than $50 million in capital.
